- It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
- It is used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria.
- Gatifloxacin-Prednisolone ophthalmic solution is indicated for steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions for which a corticosteroid is indicated and where bacterial infection or a risk of bacterial ocular infection exists.
- The combination can also be used for post-operative inflammation and any other ocular inflammation associated with infection.
