About GATIMIDE-P Eye Drops
GATIMIDE-P Eye Drops combine Gatifloxacin 0.3% and Prednisolone Acetate IP 1% — the clear choice in ophthalmic care. This Gatifloxacin-Prednisolone ophthalmic solution is indicated for steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions for which a corticosteroid is indicated and where bacterial infection or a risk of bacterial ocular infection exists. See the difference in relief with GATIMIDE-P. It is manufactured by I Smith at our WHO-GMP certified facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, for supply to hospitals, retail pharmacies, and export partners.
How It Works
- Gatifloxacin — a broad-spectrum antibiotic active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, used only to treat or prevent infections proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria
- Prednisolone Acetate — a corticosteroid that addresses steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions alongside the antibacterial cover from Gatifloxacin
The combination can also be used for post-operative inflammation and any other ocular inflammation associated with infection.
Indications
- Dry eye
- Eye irritation
- Other eye infections
- Allergic conjunctivitis
GATIMIDE-P vs GATIMIDE-D
Both combine Gatifloxacin 0.3% with a corticosteroid, but use different steroids. GATIMIDE-D pairs it with Dexamethasone 0.1% for general post-operative and inflammatory use. GATIMIDE-P uses Prednisolone Acetate 1%, specifically indicated where a corticosteroid is needed alongside proven or strongly suspected bacterial infection risk.
